Wolf You Feed’s name comes from a parable popularized by the American preacher Billy Graham, who attributed it to Cherokee tradition. That attribution is widely repeated but contested — its origins may be apocryphal. What is not contested is the force of the idea:
“An old grandfather is telling his grandson a story. ‘A fight is going on inside every man,’ he said. ‘It is a terrible fight between two wolves. One is evil — he is anger, envy, greed, arrogance, resentment, lies, and ego.’ He continued, ‘The other is good — he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The wolves are fighting to the death.’
Wide-eyed, the boy asks his grandfather, ‘Which wolf will win?’
The old man simply replied, ‘The one you feed.’”
What feeds you? The philosophical paradigms implemented by the foundation model makers? Social media algorithms? Google’s bubble-izing search results?
The Second Amendment was written when the founders understood that concentrated firepower meant concentrated power over people’s lives. The same logic applies now, with intelligence as the resource being consolidated. The AI companies running trillion-dollar infrastructure campaigns are not doing God’s work — they are building leverage, and they intend to charge for it.
The future is not evenly distributed. And quality intelligence — wisdom — will never be too cheap to meter, despite the PR campaigns currently claiming otherwise.
Just as the Second Amendment protects citizens against government consolidation of firepower, Wolf You Feed exists to protect you from the corporate centralization of cognitive leverage. Intelligence is the new gunpowder. Make sure yours remains free and sovereign.
WYF does this architecturally: a multi-model pipeline — a Society of Mind — where competing AI perspectives are required to synthesize before a Decision is rendered. You bring a Decision Opportunity. The engine works it through the best decision science available, applies your commitments as constraints, and renders a decision. Not a conversation. A decision. Commitments are tracked: Completed or Abandoned, never renegotiated. The conservation law — Committed = Delivered + Owed — is the arithmetic of accountability.
